The Ecosystem
The ecosystem consists on living and non-living factors like: Bacteria, Plants, Animals, Sunlight, and Rain. Rain and sunlight is an example of Abiotic (rain, sunlight, temperature, and minerals in the soil which is non-living). And bacteria, plants, and animals are Biotic. Biotic and abiotic factors work together for an ecosystem to survive and flourish. If we didn't have rain the grass and flowers wouldn't stay healthy and would eventually die.
Plants- (Producer) They produce their own food from the sun.

The plants (mainly grass and flowers) create their own food in order to survive, and
it helps the primary consumers (animals that eat plans) keep themselves from
starving. And once they die.... bacteria decomposes it.

Bacteria- (Decomposer) Minerals in the soil that breaks down dead animals and plants.

They break down the dead animal/plant remains to turn it into minerals for
plants to stay alive and healthy.

Eats only plants (no meat)
Producer/Consumer- The Copepod eats the Diatoms which makes it a consumer. And the Diatoms are the producers since it makes its own food.
Predator/Prey- The Squid is eating the amphipods. So the squid is a predator hunting for its prey.
Parasite/Host-
